«…Since its inception, the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, in keeping with our guidelines, has carried out ambitious programs for the benefit of all segments of the population throughout the national territory, placing special emphasis on children in a vulnerable situation, on the integration of the disabled and on girls schooling, trying to foster a healthy environment for the young, fighting adult illiteracy, seeking to improve the living conditions of women and the elderly, and working for the integration of poor and marginalized people.»
Excerpt of the Address by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the launch of the Fourth National Solidarity Week (Marrakech, November 8, 2001).
Despite their diverse nature, activities carried out by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, are part of a strategy whose planning and funding are governed by objective rules, taking into account identified needs, monitoring of the implementation process and impact evaluation.
Thus, action plans that have been implemented so far, focused on certain priorities, with special emphasis on upgrading schooling, training and education for children and youth. The aim is to protect youngsters from deviation and contribute to their intellectual and physical development, by providing them with support and coaching in education, training, cultural and sports activities.
Furthermore, the Foundation encourages other actors that are committed to the above objectives -especially associations and local communities- by granting them equipment supplies and financial support.
