Making a wide range of services accessible
Smaller-scale than the Foundation’s Community Medical Centers, primary health care centers stem from the same rationale aimed at securing accessibility, primary care and continuity of care. They provide access to emergency medical care as well as multi-disciplinary services. They include small day hospital facilities and several consultation units.
The units include emergency, chronic disease treatment, oral and dental care, a delivery house, medical testing laboratories, and curative and preventive health services. An outreach and psychological support service are also available, in order to provide initial support for socially vulnerable persons as well as to promote good health and lifestyle practices.
A Center for Maternal and Child health
Located in a town 15 kilometers away from the nearest hospital, the Bouknadel Primary Health Care Center boasts a small day hospital as well as a delivery house. It includes OB-GYN consultation and hospitalization rooms and outreach areas.
The facilities make it possible to offer full follow-up care that meets the needs of both expectant mothers and newborns. Women also benefit from awareness raising sessions on family planning and reproductive health.
