The Foundation begins its 2022 program of local medical campaigns by organizing a medical and surgical project in Tan Tan from March 24 to 26.
This new solidarity initiative will be deployed at the Hassan II Provincial Hospital in Tan Tan and a site installed within the hospital premises. The project will take care of 120 cases of general surgery and cataract surgery and will offer multidisciplinary primary care to the population of Tan Tan Province.
The implementation is in partnership with the Regional Directorate of Health, the University Hospitals of Rabat and Agadir, the local authorities, the Mohammed VI National Center for the Disabled of Salé and its regional section of Agadir as well as medical associations approved by AMMS – Moroccan Medical Association for Solidarity, Association Action Urgence and ARS – Association of Retired Health Workers.
A team of more than 60 doctors (surgeons, general practitioners and specialists), 20 nurses and technicians as well as social workers have been mobilized to welcome and provide free quality care to vulnerable populations, people with disabilities and those that require urgent surgical treatment.
The caravan will offer examinations, consultations and curative care in general and specialized medicine (gynecology, paediatrics, pulmonology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, gastroenterology and dentistry), diagnostic care, preventive care (screening for diseases breast cancer, cervical cancer and diabetes), medical and ultrasound analysis as well as drug treatments.
Significant logistical resources have been deployed, including the Foundation's eight mobile medical units, medical equipment and consumables, the provision of operating rooms, examination rooms and a space to welcome patients at the Hassan II Provincial Hospital in Tan Tan to ensure the success of this campaign.
