His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, launched on Wednesday, March 4, in the neighborhood of Bensouda, of the Zouagha district in Fez, the construction of a Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity – Community Medical Center (CMP), for an overall investment of 75 million dirhams, and gave His High Instructions for the realization of two additional centers in Fez and Tangier.
The new Center, which will be built on a 14,080 m2 plot of land, will include a division for local medical emergencies (shock treatment unit as well as rooms of examination, care, observation and plastering), a division for specialized consultations (endocrinology, nephrology, pediatrics, gynecology, gastroenterology, cardiology, rheumatology and dermatology), and a medical-technical division with, in particular, an operating room (a general surgery room and another for obstetric surgery). The Center will also have a mother-child health division housing a technical birthing unit (4 birthing rooms) and newborn examination and care rooms, a primary health care unit (consultation rooms, care rooms, rooms of Immunization and rooms of maternal and child Health / family Planning), an orthopedic rehabilitation unit, an oral care unit, a medical imaging unit, a medical analysis laboratory and a hospitalization division (13 rooms with a capacity of 26 beds), as well as a pharmacy and a morgue.
Being a result of the partnership between the Foundation, the Ministry of Health, the Regional Council of Fez-Meknes and the Communal Council of Fez, this project will be completed within 24 months.
During this launch, the Sovereign gave His High Instructions for the realization of two additional Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity – Community Medical Centers (CMP) in Fez and Tangier, bringing to 12, the number of such units that will cover the national territory.
