Under the effective chairmanship of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, the 2019 Marhaba operation starts on June 5, 2019 and will last until September 15, 2019.
Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, which contributes to execute and organize this unique humanitarian operation, has reactivated its 20 service areas in Morocco and abroad in order to deal with air and maritime traffic intensity regularly recorded during summer period. In Morocco, this concerns the Mediterranean resting areas in Tazaghine and Jebha, service areas in Tanger Med, Tangiers city, Nador and Al Hoceima ports, border posts in Bab Sebta and Bab Mellilia, and finally Casablanca Mohammed V, Oujda Angad, Agadir Al Massira, Fès Saïss, and Marrakech Menara airports, in addition to the new Tangier Ibn Battuta Airport. Outside Morocco, Marhaba service areas are located in European ports of Almeria, Algesiras, Motril, Sète and Genoa.
The Foundation continues to offer its help to Moroccan Community members through a social and medical support in charge of any contingency. Travelers are also supported through sensitizing and informing them using Marhaba guidebooks written in 6 languages (Arabic, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and German). This guidebooks are freely given in maritime and land transport agencies, on vessels connecting Europe to Morocco and in all service areas. Furthermore, the Foundation makes the Marhaba mobile application and the dedicated website www.marhaba.fm5.ma available to the community members. These are tools that inform about transit procedures and formalities, about dedicated services and about useful contacts. They also give access to practical and useful functionalities as geo-tracking and online support.
In 20 areas adapted by the Foundation, a staff of almost 1000 persons including social workers, physicians, paramedical personnel and volunteers are rallied to listen to and support Moroccans living abroad and to provide for them the necessary relief.
