In the context of the general mobilization to fight against the Covid-19 coronavirus spread, and following the exceptional opening of national borders allowing the return of Moroccans living abroad, His Majesty King Mohammed VI has given his High instructions for the Marhaba reception arrangements to be implemented.
The Foundation has reactivated 13 reception areas for members of the community who have decided to travel by air and sea from France and Italy, providing assistance as well as social and medical care services. Travelers will be accompanied in compliance with health safety and social distancing guidelines. An awareness and information guide has been published for this purpose and will be distributed at the various reception sites.
This year, and given the pandemic context, the operational reception sites in Morocco are located in the Mediterranean rest areas, Tazaghine and Jebha, in the ports of Tanger Med and Nador, and in the airports of Casablanca Mohammed V, Oujda Angad, Agadir Al Massira, Fez Saïss, Marrakech Menara and Tangier Ibn Battuta. Abroad, they are located at the European ports of Sète and Genoa.
A staff of nearly 400 people including the Foundation's teams, social workers, doctors, paramedical staff and volunteers are mobilized there to listen to Moroccans living abroad, help them and provide them with the necessary assistance. A call service is also available and is operational 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, on the following phone numbers: 00 212 537 20 55 66 / 00 212 537 20 6666, through the toll-free number 080 000 23 23 accessible from the Kingdom, the number 00 33 7 74 75 77 17 for France (Sète) and the number 00 39 347 083 79 46 for Italy (Genoa).
